A new podcast episode from the LRSSB is highlighting how professionals from across the light rail sector are working together to share best practice and strengthen a sector-wide approach to tramway safety.

In the latest edition of ‘Let’s Talk Light Rail’, LRSSB Marketing and Communications Manager Carly Swift is joined by Connor Hardy, QHESE Manager for NET in Nottingham and Josh Keeling, Safety Manager Supertram in Sheffield, to discuss the work of a dedicated Heads of Safety group.

Mark Ashmore, LRSSB Head of Safety and Assurance at the LRSSB, is also on hand to provide insights into the group's history and how it is helping shape the organisation's work.

In a wide-ranging discussion, Josh and Connor stress the vital role of the group in helping them to forge close working relationships with colleagues from across the sector and how it is helping them to draw on the experience of other tram networks to overcome their own challenges.

They also share ideas on some of the best ways to spread important safety messages among front-line staff and members of the public during, as well as thoughts on the work of the group moving forward.

You can hear what they have to say by downloading the full podcast here.
