Light rail safety professionals are being offered the chance to take part in a series of ‘walkthrough’ workshops to help them make the most of a comprehensive library of current legislation and guidance.

Earlier this year, the LRSSB entered into an agreement that offers colleagues from across the sector free use of the resource provided by Barbour EHS, one of the best-known providers of specialist information services.

All LRSSB customers now have easy access to legislation, guidance and policies from over 800 trusted sources, including the Health and Safety Executive, the Environment Agency and the British Standards Institute.

Now Barbour is running weekly walkthroughs via Microsoft Teams to help users get the most out of the service, which also provides regular updates on changes to UK legislation across key areas such as health and safety, environment and energy, estates and facilities management, fire and security, and mental health and wellbeing.

Mark Ashmore, LRSSB Head of Safety and Assurance, commented: “The LRSSB’s subscription to Barbour EHS offers fantastic added value for our own customers who need quick and easy access to the most recent legislation. and to keep on top of any changes.

“We would urge them to sign up for these free online walkthroughs that will help them navigate the information available and how to best use it within their organisation.”

Further information about the weekly walkthroughs, including details on how to join in, can be found here.
