The development and implementation of essential safety verification processes during the construction of new tramways is the subject of new guidance from the Light Rail Safety and Standards Board.

Drawing on best practice from across the sector and existing documentation, it offers a comprehensive insight into the steps that need to be taken when changes are made to an existing tram system.

The guidance (LRG59.0 Safety Justification Scheme Development and Implementation Principles and Guidance) is one of the latest documents to be added to the LRSSB’s growing reference library within the organisation’s online Safety Hub.

Other recent uploads include LRG64.0 ROGS Safety Verification Guidance, LRG 72.0 – Event Management Guidance and a Technical Note on establishing and operating a ‘Just Culture’ (LRTN4.0).

The Library can be found here.
