The Light Rail Safety and Standards Board is looking for a committed individual to help drive the organisation’s strategic aims as the Chair of its board of directors.
Applications are now being invited for the remunerated, non-executive role that includes responsibility for managing the activities of the board while providing independent advice and counsel to the LRSSB’s Chief Executive.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate experience and competency at board level, with particular experience in the establishment of policies, processes and standards for the management of health and safety risk in a regulated environment.
Commercial experience, with an understanding of complex public and private sector organisations is also essential, along with the ability to promote the organisations by building effective relationships with senior stakeholders, including politicians, regulators, senior officials within combined authorities, and sector representatives.
