The huge benefits delivered by upgrades to a sector-wide accident and incident reporting system have been highlighted in the latest podcast from the Light Rail Safety and Standards Board.

Joining the organisation’s Marketing and Digital Media Manager, Carly Swift, the LRSSB’s Head of Safety and Assurance explains how it is providing vital data to identify the top threats to tramway safety.

Mark Ashmore also explains how the development of a common language for reporting played a critical role in the effectiveness of the Tram Accident and Incident Reporting (TAIR) system.

They are joined in the studio by Anthony Stanley, Head of Operations and Safety at West Midlands Metro, who offers real-world examples of how the system is helping the operator make informed decisions when it comes to investment in new safety measures.
