Further investment by the LRSSB in a ground-breaking accident and incident reporting system has seen the addition of a raft of new features designed to deliver even more detailed data for future risk modelling.

The latest upgrades to the Tram Accident and Incident Reporting (TAIR) system will also enhance usability with the introduction of new graphics and the inclusion of improved data fields.

Carl Williams, LRSSB Chief Executive, explained: “Following a successful launch last year, the upgraded TAIR has already provided a real boost to light rail, providing a sector-wide, centralised platform for incident reporting and analysis.

“In turn, this has enabled networks to identify the most likely risks to the safety of customers and their employees before taking effective measures to mitigate against them.”

The most recent updates have been rolled out this week ahead of TAIR’s inclusion in the LRSSB’s comprehensive online ‘Safety Hub’, which is set to be launched in the next few weeks.
